Lavigne sentenced for crimes that include exposing himself

ESCANABA, MI--   A Delta County man has been sentenced on several indecent exposure and other charges.

On Friday Thomas Lavigne, 29, of Rapid River was given prison time on eight counts spanning two years.  He was last arrested this past March for exposing himself to an area woman.

Judge Stephen Davis gave Lavigne from 1.5 to 7.5 years for gross indecency between a male and female; 1.5 to 3 years on each of four counts of aggravated indecent exposure; 20 months to 3 years for using a computer to commit a crime; and 6 months on each of two counts of malicious use of telephone services.

Lavigne was sentenced as a habitual offender on each count.  He must also register as a sex offender.

As part of Lavigne’s plea deal several misdemeanors and one felony count of aggravated indecent exposure by a sexually delinquent person were dropped.

All sentences will be served concurrently.
