LaFave CPL bill passes House

LANSING, MI--   The Michigan House of Representatives has approved legislation introduced by

Representative Beau LaFave to streamline the process of getting a concealed weapons permit.

The bill authorizes the Secretary of State to share photographs taken for official state personal identification cards with the Michigan State Police for use on concealed weapons licenses.

LaFave says the bill would allow state government to operate more efficiently when processing applications.

The legislation moves to the senate for consideration.
