Keweenaw park holding eclipse event

CALUMET, MI--   The Keweenaw National Historical Park is offering residents a chance to view Monday’s eclipse from Quincy Hill.  

The public viewing event will be held from 12:30 to 3:30 p.m., while the 71 percent eclipse will happen at 2:13 p.m. Staff from the Quincy Mine Hoist Association, Portage Lake District Library, and park rangers and volunteers from the Keweenaw National Historical Park and Isle Royale National Park will be on hand with viewing glasses, pinhole viewers, and hands-on activities. The glasses and viewers will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.
