Ishpeming police find largest cache of meth components ever in Marquette County

ISHPEMING, MI--   Two people have been arrested in connection with a huge Ishpeming meth bust.

Thursday evening City Police—following a joint investigation with Child Protective Services—executed a search warrant at 260 Marble Street and found evidence that meth had been made there.  A 37-year-old woman was arrested on meth-related charges.

Officers searched another residence on the 200 block of Oak Street.  Officers say they uncovered the largest amount of meth-related components ever found in a search warrant in Marquette County.  They arrested a 40-year-old man at the house.

Officials say the man and woman are dating and have allegedly been staying at both locations with the woman’s minor children.  The children are being taken care of by relatives.

The Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office is reviewing the case for official charges.
