Ishpeming girl's fall from house window prompts investigation

ISHPEMING, MI--   Ishpeming Police are asking for help in determining how a 15-year-old girl fell from the second story of an unoccupied house on the 100 block of West North Street. 

Officers responded Saturday around 3 a.m. after someone heard a female screaming for help. When police arrived they found the teen lying on the ground with severe facial and head injuries. They don’t know if she fell or was pushed, and are trying to determine if she was alone or with other people.

The unidentified girl remains hospitalized.

Anyone with information regarding the incident is asked to call the Ishpeming Police Department at 486-4416.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
