Information released in Doyle Township triple homicide

MANISTIQUE, MI--   An unidentified man says three people found in a burned-out car in Schoolcraft County were killed in a drug deal gone bad.

The Manistique Pioneer Tribune reports an unnamed drug dealer has confessed to being an accomplice in the murders of Jody Hutchinson, Carrie Nelson and Heather Aldrich, whose remains were found in Doyle Township April 17.

The man says Kenneth Brunke, 45, of Manistique lured the three to his home.  Police aren’t saying how the victims were killed, but a report says the drug dealer watched Brunke dispose of the bodies in the burning car.  It’s believed Brunke’s motive in the killings was that Aldrich may have stolen drugs from him.

Officials are not releasing any more information at this time.
