Identities of Marquette Township victims released

MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI--   State Police have released the names of three people who died in a Thanksgiving Day domestic incident in Marquette Township.

Troopers from the Negaunee Post say the deceased are Charles Masterson, 26, Jessica Drummond, 22, and BrodieDagenais, 22.  All three lived in the house where they were found.

Police say the incident began at about 4:40 a.m. Thursday with a 911 call to Marquette County Central Dispatch by Drummond.  Initial investigation indicates Masterson shot and killed Dagenais and Drummond in the residence, then turned the same firearm on himself a short time later. 

Autopsies were performed Friday at UP Health System Marquette.

The incident remains under investigation.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
