House approves bill to change regulations for charitable gambling industry

LANSING, Mich. (AP) — Michigan lawmakers are moving to change regulations in the charitable gambling industry. It is their latest attempt to ease a state crackdown that charities say has restricted their fundraising. The House approved the legislation 100-9 Thursday. The Senate, which passed a similar bill in February, will consider the legislation next.
