Houghton deputies arrest women for trying to pass drugs to inmate

HOUGHTON, MI--   Two women are lodged in the Houghton County Jail for trying to pass an inmate 

controlled substances.

Sheriff’s deputies say the incident happened Wednesday morning after a court hearing.  The two females are charged with delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance and furnishing contraband to prisoners. 

They remain lodged on $1,000 bonds while awaiting arraignment.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
