Home invasion suspects headed to court

MARQUETTE, MI--   Arraignment is set for two Marquette residents charged with home invasion.

City Police say Friday around 6:45 a.m. the suspects entered a residence through an unlocked door.  The homeowner was assaulted, and one of the suspects brandished a firearm during the incident.

The victim provided a description of the two men and their vehicle.  A short time later police located the subjects in the Orianna Preserve area and arrested them.  Execution of a search warrant uncovered stolen property and firearms in a residence and a vehicle.

Kyler Arrieta and Johnathan Roy are both charged with home invasion and felony firearms.  They remain lodged in the Marquette County Jail on bonds of $500,000 for each count.

Both men are set to be arraigned Monday in Marquette County District Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
