IRON MOUNTAIN, MI--   An Iron Mountain man accused of trying to stab another man to death has been sentenced.

Aaron Hodges, 44, was originally charged with attempted murder in an assault last October at a Felch Township camp.  In January he pleaded no contest to assault with intent to commit great bodily harm less than murder.

Hodges was sentenced Tuesday to 26 months to 15 years in prison.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
