Graffiti puts MSHS on secure mode

MARQUETTE, MI--   Marquette Senior High School was on “secure mode” for a while Thursday afternoon.

A message saying graffiti was found in one of the bathrooms was sent out to parents. The administration contacted City Police, who conducted an investigation.

Officials say they found no threat to the safety of students and staff. They say they’ll continue to work diligently to ensure a safe and positive environment for students.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
