Gas prices up slightly

DEARBORN, MI (AP)--   AAA Michigan says gasoline prices have increased about 3 cents a gallon in the last week.

The auto club says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was $3 on Sunday. That's about 22 cents less than it was one year ago.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys fuel costs at 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily. It says the cheapest average price was $2.96 a gallon in the Detroit area. The most expensive price was about $3.04 a gallon in the Jackson area.

Average gas prices in Michigan and across the country had dropped to below $3 a gallon in the previous week for the first time in nearly four years.
