Gas prices expected to keep falling

DEARBORN, MI (AP)--   AAA Michigan says statewide gas prices have dropped about 18 cents a gallon in the last week to the lowest average since August 2010.

The auto club says the average price per gallon of self-serve regular unleaded gasoline was $2.68 on Sunday. That's about 56 cents less than it was a year ago.

Dearborn-based AAA Michigan surveys fuel costs at 2,800 Michigan gas stations daily. It says the cheapest price was $2.62 a gallon in the Flint area. The most expensive price was about $2.81 a gallon in the Marquette area.

The auto club expects prices to continue falling another 15 to 20 cents in the coming weeks as retail prices catch up with decreases in crude oil and wholesale gasoline costs.
