Forsyth Township suspect pleads to stealing credit card

MARQUETTE, MI--   A Gwinn man accused of stealing and using a credit card has entered into a plea agreement.  

Eric Brown, 39, was arrested in October after he allegedly used the card at several area businesses.  He pleaded guilty Friday to one count of illegal use of a financial transaction device.  Three other charges against him were dropped. 

Brown faces up to two years in prison and a $1,000 fine.

Sentencing is set for January 29 in Marquette County Circuit Court.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
