MARQUETTE, MI-- The Marquette Police Department is investigating reports that counterfeit money is being used in and around the area.
Officers say people are reporting mostly fake $20 bills, but some phony $5 bills are making an appearance, as well.
Police are urging businesses and citizens to inspect their money closely during cash transactions.
