SAULT STE. MARIE, ONTARIO-- An Ontario steel producer has filed a request for a temporary restraining order against Cliffs Natural Resources.
Essar Steel Algoma of Sault Ste. Marie made the request to a federal judge after Cliffs terminated its pellet sale and purchase agreement, saying Essar repeatedly breached the contract. Essar officials say they expect Cliffs to fully honor the contract until the matter is resolved.
The case is before a judge in Cleveland, Ohio.
