Escanaba authorities find dump site for meth

ESCANABA, MI--   Police have found a meth dump in the City of Escanaba.

Public Safety officers were called Sunday around 1:10 p.m. to 300 block of South 9th Street, where a residence was in the process of being cleaned up.  Officers found possible meth-making components and contacted the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.

UPSET detectives confirmed the materials were used to make meth and the house was in fact a meth dump site.  They cleaned up and disposed of the hazardous waste.

No injuries are reported.

The case remains under investigation.
