Enrollment in Finlandia's incoming class jumps

HANCOCK, MI--   Finlandia University’s incoming class is 25 percent larger than last year, and represents the second year in a row of increased student numbers.  

The 287-student incoming group is the second largest in the school’s history. 

Overall enrollment at Finlandia is up almost nine percent from last year, at 536 students.  The population of dormitory Finlandia Hall has increased almost 20 percent and contains more students than at any other time. 

Classes at Finlandia began August 24.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
