Ecstasy found in Eastern U.P. UPSET bust

SAULT STE. MARIE, MI--   Arrests are pending, following a Chippewa County drug bust by the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team.  

On Friday detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on Andary Avenue in Sault Ste. Marie.  They found 30 Ecstasy pills, marijuana, and prescription medication. 

Detectives have identified several suspects, but their names are being withheld pending further investigation.  Arrests are expected following review of the case by the Chippewa County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
