Donations still sought in the Copper Country

HOUGHTON COUNTY, MI--   Houghton County has more than enough bottled water, but recovery workers still have a long list of needs.

Supply distribution centers are looking for items like dehumidifiers, fans, face masks, metal rakes, Gatorade, squeegees, wheelbarrows, and general cleaning supplies. Volunteers are also needed to do physical labor like debris removal and mucking. Those who would like to volunteer must be 18 or older. Those under 18 need the signature of a parent or guardian.

If you need supplies to help in the recovery efforts or would like to donate, contact one of the donation centers.  They include Dee Stadium, the Hubbell Fire Department, the Volunteer Reception Center, and Calumet Colosseum.

For a full list of what’s needed and contact information, go to coppercountrystrong.com.
