ISHPEMING TOWNSHIP, MI-- The Marquette County Sheriff’s Office is gathering more details about a two-vehicle accident in Ishpeming Township.
The crash happened Thursday around 6 p.m. on US-41 and North Lake Drive. A Pontiac Montana driven by Jerry Ekdahl, 67, of Battle Creek was northbound and trying to cross the highway when it entered the path of a westbound Nissan Rogue driven by Athena Engle, 67, of Republic.
Deputies say they’re trying to determine if Engle had her lights on at the time of the accident.
Neither driver was injured.
