GLADSTONE, MI-- A tentative contract between the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers, Local 876 and the Alger-Delta Electrical Cooperative has been reached.
Workers have been on strike for the past three weeks.
The deal is the result of extended collective bargaining from Thursday into early Friday and the help of federal mediator Don Maki.
The agreement provides for a contract with an effective date of January 1, 2014 through November 30, 2015. It calls for wage increases this year and next; switches from Blue Cross-Blue Shield health coverage to an HSA plan; and creates a health insurance committee.
