Crystal Falls Township rollover accident claims life

CRYSTAL FALLS TOWNSHIP, MI--   One person is dead, following a single-vehicle accident in Iron County.  

Sheriff’s officials say Saturday around 7:20 a.m. they were called to the scene of a rollover crash on the WPA Road just south of the Deer River Bridge in Crystal Falls Township.

The accident resulted in the death of a 22-year-old woman.  A second occupant—a 23-year-old man—was taken to Northstar Hospital for treatment. 

Names of the victims are not being released at this time. 

The accident remains under investigation. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
