Crystal Falls man charged with attempted murder enters plea deal

CRYSTAL FALLS, MI--   A Crystal Falls man has pleaded guilty to attempted murder.

Luke Wool, 19, was accused of killing one horse and injuring another at a Crystal Falls residence last year. Two bullets also penetrated a nearby house.

Wool was originally charged with felony firearms, discharging a firearm in or at a building, and two counts of killing/torturing an animal. He has pleaded to the attempted murder charge. In exchange, all other charges will be dropped.

Sentencing is set for July 9 in Iron County Circuit Court.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
