Charges sought in Negaunee rollover

NEGAUNEE, MI--   Two people were injured when a pickup truck rolled over in Negaunee Monday morning.

Around 12:29 officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of North Baldwin Avenue. A Toyota Tundra driven by Aaron LaJoie was northbound when he failed to negotiate a curve. The truck left the right side of the roadway and rolled over into the ditch.

LaJoie and a passenger were taken to UPHS Marquette for treatment. A third passenger was not injured.

Alcohol is believed to be a factor in the crash. Officers say charges will be requested through the Marquette County Prosecutor’s Office.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
