Celebrating the holiday spirit in Marquette

MARQUETTE, MI--   The City of Marquette is celebrating the holiday season in grand style with a parade and tree lighting ceremony on Friday.

The Winter Snow Fun Holiday Parade starts at 6 p.m. on Fair Avenue and will proceed down Third Street.  It will feature floats, decorated vehicles, and marching units.  The U.S. Postal Service will also collect letters to Santa along the route.  The letters should have a return address.

The parade will end at the Marquette Commons, where the city’s 41st annual tree lighting ceremony will be held.  It will feature photos with Santa Claus.
