Camp fire injures Gwinn residents

WELLS TOWNSHIP, MI--   Two people have been seriously injured in a structure fire in Wells Township.

State Police from the Negaunee Post were dispatched Thursday around 10:55 p.m. to a camp on County Road 426.

Injured in the fire were a 36-year-old man and a 40-year-old woman, both of Gwinn.

The two were taken to UPHS-Marquette, then flown to the University of Michigan for further treatment. Their names have not yet been released. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
