MARQUETTE, MI--   A Marquette man accused of embezzling from the Marquette Mutineers hockey team has been given a delay of sentence.

Brice Burge, 29, was charged with two counts of embezzlement from a non-profit or charitable organization. He pleaded no contest in December to use of a financial transaction device to fraudulently withdraw money, less than $1,000.

Last week Burge was given a 12-month delay of sentence and ordered to pay more than $5,000 in restitution.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
