Bruce Crossing residents arrested on drug charges

BRUCE CROSSING, MI--   Three people were arrested after detectives from the Upper Peninsula Substance Enforcement Team conducted a drug bust in Ontonagon County.  

Wednesday around 11:30 a.m. detectives executed a search warrant at a residence on M-28 in Bruce Crossing.  They seized 130 marijuana plants, more than $6,000 in cash, a firearm, approximately five pounds of processed marijuana, about a gallon of suspected hemp oil, and psychedelic mushrooms. 

Three suspects at the scene were arrested for manufacturing marijuana and lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail.  Other charges are pending. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
