HOUGHTON, MI-- Planned maintenance work on the Portage Lake Lift Bridge scheduled for Monday, April 10, will result in several brief full bridge closures (up to 15 minutes) throughout the day.
The closures are expected to occur between 9 and 11:30 a.m. and also between 1 and 3:30 p.m. The closures will likely result in delays for motorists.
These closures may extend into Tuesday, April 11.
Later in the week, on Wednesday, April 12, and Thursday, April 13, there will be single-lane closures on the bridge for cleaning and washing the bridge.
