PORTAGE TOWNSHIP, MI-- The Houghton County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the possible theft of a boat.
The Sylvan 17-foot open-bow boat is missing from Portage Township. It’s described as blue and white in color with a 115-horsepower Evinrude outboard motor on the rear, along with a 6-horsepower Mercury small outboard motor.
The vessel was docked on a shore station along the shoreline near 46189 US-41 in Houghton.
Anyone who sees the boat is asked to call the Sheriff’s Office at 482-0055 or the Coast Guard at 482-3253.
