Arrest made in series of Marquette B & Es

A Marquette man has been arrested following investigation into a series of vehicle B&Es in the south Marquette area. City police say 23-year old Allan Lee Blondeau was taken into custody Friday for his alleged involvement in the larcenies. Officials say some of the property reported stolen was recovered at the time of the arrest. Blondeau is charged with one count of Breaking and Entering – A Vehicle to Steal Property $200 or more but less than $1,000… and three counts of Breaking and Entering – A Vehicle to Steal Property less the $200. All the charges are misdemeanors, and bond was set at $8,000 cash.

The Marquette Police were assisted by the Chocolay Township Police Department.

Police are reminding citizens to keep their car doors locked and to not leave valuable items in their vehicles while unattended. Officers add that there have also been several complaints of bicycles being stolen from garages and homes and, ingeneral, residents should not leave any items of value unattended or unsecured at any location.
