Arraignment set for Manistique homicide suspect

MANISTIQUE, MI--   A Manistique man arrested in Illinois for a triple murder in Schoolcraft County is back in Michigan. 

Kenneth Brunke, 45, is charged in the deaths of Jody Hutchinson, Heather Aldrich, and Carrie Nelson, whose bodies were found in a burned-out car in Doyle Township April 17.

Brunke will be arraigned in Schoolcraft County District Court Friday.  He may be joined by other suspects in the case, but officials won’t say for certain.  

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
