Armed robbery reported in Ewen

EWEN, MI--   An Ontonagon County man has been arrested for armed robbery.  

Troopers from the Wakefield Post were dispatched Tuesday around 4 p.m. to a residence in Ewen.  The homeowner said a male suspect entered the house, held the owner at gunpoint, and demanded money.  The subject was unable to get any money and left.

The suspect was identified as a 20-year-old Ewen man.  Troopers were able to locate him and took him into custody without incident. 

The man remains lodged in the Ontonagon County Jail on charges of armed robbery, home invasion, and larceny of a firearm.  He’s being held without bond until arraignment. 

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
