Armed robbery reported at Escanaba gas station

ESCANABA, MI--   Three people have been arrested in connection with an armed robbery in Escanaba.

Escanaba Public Safety officers were dispatched to the Admiral gas station Sunday around 7:45 a.m.  The clerk told them a lone masked man walked into the station brandishing a large hunting knife and demanding money.  The clerk gave the subject an undetermined amount of cash and the subject fled on foot.

Officers set up a perimeter to utilize the department’s K9, “Dag.”  The dog was able to track the suspect to a residence on the north side of the city.  Officers set up a perimeter around the house, then executed a search warrant that uncovered evidence they say will aid in the investigation.

Three people in the house were arrested on charges ranging from armed robbery to lying to a police officer while investigating a serious felony.  They remain in the Delta County Jail, pending arraignment.
