Another arrest made in Houghton County drug ring

ST. IGNACE, MI--   Another arrest has been made in connection with a drug bust in South Range on Tuesday.

UPSET executed a search warrant in a residence on Stanton Avenue and found pills, suspected heroin, and crystal meth.  Charles Knuckles, 24, was arraigned on several counts of delivery/manufacture of a controlled substance.

On Thursday detectives received information that another Houghton County suspect was on an Indian Trails bus that left Hancock and was bound for Detroit.  UPSET contacted troopers at the St. Ignace Post, and as the bus made a scheduled stop State Police made contact with a 26-year-old man and identified him as the suspect.  The man was arrested on a five-count felony warrant for delivery of heroin and morphine and lodged in the Houghton County Jail.

Additional arrests are pending.

Nicole was born near Detroit but has lived in the U.P. most of her life. She graduated from Marquette Senior High School and attended Michigan State and Northern Michigan Universities, graduating from NMU in 1993 with a degree in English.
