MARQUETTE TOWNSHIP, MI-- Police aren’t sure if someone was abducted in Marquette Township Wednesday or not.
The county Sheriff’s Office received a report from a witness that two men forced a woman into a vehicle near North Star Academy and drove off. After numerous hours of searching, following up on tips from the public, reviewing video footage, and with no missing person report filed, deputies have been unable to verify that an abduction occurred. They say it’s possible the witness may have misinterpreted what he saw.
The Sheriff’s Office continues to follow up on the case, and is thanking the public for its vigilance and help in spreading the word.
