On Wednesday, February 14 from noon till 1:00 pm, Dr. Michael Mellana will discuss atrial fibrillation in this month’s Meet the Physician series in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room. Dr. Mellana brings advanced and specialized knowledge of the heart to UP Health System – Marquette, including experience in atrial fibrillation ablation, atrial flutter ablation, ventricular tachycardia ablation, ICD and PPM implants, and cardiac resynchronization therapy. Dr. Mellana received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the Cebu Institute of Medicine in Cebu City, Philippines and his Bachelor in Science and Medical Technology from Velez College in Cebu City. He went on to complete a Cardiology Fellowship at the New York Medical College at Westchester Medical Center and his Clinical Cardiac Electrophysiology Fellowship at UMass Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Mellana is board certified in Internal Medicine, Echocardiography, and Cardiovascular Medicine, and holds ECFMG certification. This monthly lunch and learn session is sponsored by the U.P.
