Tasty Reads, a book group for readers who like to cook, will focus on Tender at the Bone by Ruth Reichl at their Tuesday, February 13 meeting at noon in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room. In her memoir, Reichl shares her passion for food and the unforgettable people in her life who shaped her world and her sense of taste. Even at an early age, Reichl felt that she could learn about people by how they cooked an ate. One of her earliest influences was her mother whom she dubbed the Queen of Mold. Later on, she was influenced by the gourmand, Monsieur du Croix. Along with her stories of interesting people, Reichl includes some of her favorite recipes.
