Event Description

Thursday February 1st to Thursday, March 15th. Peter White Public Library will host a high school writing competition with support from Dr. Allyn Roberts and the Marquette Monthly. Students in grades 9 to 12 who reside in the Peter White Public Library service area, or have a non-resident card at PWPL, are invited to enter an original poem, flash fiction work, or nonfiction memoir. First, second, and third place cash prizes will be awarded in each of the three categories, to be presented at a reception on Wednesday, April 25th. Contest guidelines are available at the Teen Services desk on the main floor, Youth Services on the lower level, or on the PWPL website www.pwpl.info .
