Event Description

On Saturday, January 13 from 2:00 to 5:00 pm the Peter White Public Library will host its first traditional music jam of the new year in the library’s community room. Bring your guitar, banjo, fiddle, bass, ukulele, harmonica, or just your voice, and join other acoustic musicians and vocalists for a community jam session. Celebrate the traditional folk music of the Carter Family, Woody Guthrie, Pete Seeger, Bob Dylan, and others. It’s a chance to share your love of music and learn a new song or instrumental technique. A limited quantity of sheet music is available for those not familiar with the songs. Listeners and singers are always welcome. There is no admission charge to attend this event which is sponsored by the Hiawatha Music Co-op and the Carroll Paul Memorial Trust Fund of the Peter White Public Library. Call 906-226-4318 or visit www.pwpl.info for more information.
