Event Description

Award winning author, John Smolens, of Wolf’s Mouth, Quarantine, The Schoolmaster’s Daughter, and The Anarchist celebrates the re-release of his internationally acclaimed Cold on Monday, March 20, at 7:00 pm in the Peter White Public Library’s Shiras Room. Set in Michigan’s Upper Peninsula, Cold takes us deep into a harsh, frozen world, where love, greed, and the promise of a second chance compel six people toward a chilling and inevitable reckoning. Norman Haas, the central figure in this novel, sets a cascade of events into motion when he decides to walk away from his prison work detail. Each person he encounters can’t help but be changed by him, for both good and bad, as he begins his journey back to his past. Book sale and signing with Snowbound Books.
